這一部個人動畫作品，除畫風美式風格以外，粵語發音、故事劇情、敘事方式、表現手法， 皆運用經典香港電影中熟悉的元素，在此部動畫電影中引用了香港電影兩大名導王家衛與劉 鎮偉對時間與記憶的迷戀，無厘頭喜劇片中常見不按牌裡出牌的幽默詼諧。更進一步說，創 作動機想表明對香港電影的熱愛與執著、以及對八零年代至九零年代香港電影業全盛時期的 追憶與懷念。
In the "Acid Trip", you can see the auteurism of the Hong Kong director, Kar Wai Wong and Jeff Lau abut "time" and "memory". The hero is amusing and funny, because he wants to show pretty hilarious performance like Jim Carrey and Stephen Chow. Moreover, the director of "Acid Trip" wants to express devotion to Hong Kong movie and he cherishes the memory that is the period of growing in 1980 to 1990.
「Acid Trip」本為美國俚語，它所代表的涵義是服用迷幻藥後所產生的幻覺體驗。主角在不知 情的情況下，闖入那間他所熟悉的人的房子裡偷錢，也不知道她開了瓦斯正企圖自殺。在此 將「Acid Trip」轉化為一氧化碳中毒後產生的幻覺旅程，在這段過程中回憶過往、體悟後悔，然 而諷刺的是，結尾終將悲劇作結，當美好片刻即將消失，才體會到為時已晚。即使稍縱即逝 ，願永遠記住，「如果記憶也是一塊月餅的話，我希望它不會過期」。
"Acid Trip" is a word of America slang. It's means the experience of freak-out after drugging. The heroine would suicide by turn on gas when the hero who know her came into the house to steal. In this story,"Acid Trip" descripts the trip of dream after the gas made he faint. In this trip, he recalled his memories and regretted his blunders. However, the ending is miserable. When wonderful time had been gone, he felt it is too late to regret. "If memory can stuff moon cake, I hope it will never expire". Although it is slip instantly, he wants to remember it forever.
